Synopsis:

This documentary film celebrates the history of Formula 1. From the spectacular birth of “the greatest show on earth” we chart the rise of Formula 1 through the “Golden Era” – the late 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s. From a time when the cars became terrifyingly fast and the racing drivers were like rock stars with raw talent – and whose chances of not surviving a single season could be as high as 1 in 15 – to today’s ultra high-tech, spare no expense, ever-sexy circus.
